MEMORANDUM <br />ver <br />TO: Parks and Recreation Commission <br />FROM: Steve Benoit, Recreation Manager <br />DATE: February 2, 2012 <br />SUBJECT: Staff Report <br />Hot Topic) of the Month <br />The Parks and Recreation Department maintains seven outdoor ice rinks throughout the <br />Ciry. Two of these rinks have warming houses including Lions Pazk and Handke stadium <br />which are supervised evenings and weekends. Both of these parks offer skating/hockey <br />rinks as well as sledding hills. The East hockey rink at Handke stadium can be rented by <br />groups through the Parks and Recreation office. <br />This season the weather has made it extremely challenging to maintain the rinks.
