Asbestos, Lead and Regulated Waste Assessment <br />716 and 720 Main Street, EUc Rivers, MN <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF ACTIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS MOVE/DEMOLITION <br />2.1 Asbestos Summary <br />Suspect asbestos containing materials were identified during the inspection and samples were collected <br />for analysis. The materials sampled included insulation, foam, brick, floor tile, ceiling tile, attic paper, <br />flooring, surfacing texture, caulking, linoleum, ceiling paper, ceramic tile, sheetrock, adhesives, glazing, <br />mopboard, stucco and roofing materials. A copy of the EMSL analytical report is included in <br />Appendix C. <br />Buildine 716 <br />The following is a list of items that were found to be asbestos containing in Building 716: cream, pink <br />and brown 9 inch by 9 inch floor file (5%, 4%, 5%Chrysotile, respectively), silver layer base flashing <br />(5%Chrysotile), and tar bast flashing (3%Chrysotile). <br />Buildine 720 <br />The following list is the items that were found to be asbestos containing in Building 720; ceiling <br />surfacing (Z% Chrysotile), bathroom gray floor file mastic (8% Chrysotile), tax on the hasement foam <br />(10% Chrysotile), paper backing under the metal ceiling (65% Chrysotile), light gray window <br />caulking& duplicate (2% & 3% Chrysotile, respectively), and the silver vent covers on the roof (3% <br />Chrysotile). The ceiline surfacing. aaaer backing under the metal ceiline and the silver vent covers <br />on the roof are all friable and must be removed prior to demolition. <br />2.2 Lead Summary <br />The following locations were observed to have peeling, chipping or flaking paint: silver metal ceiling in <br />720, yellow ramp paint, garbage fence and white roof paint. All collected paint samples were analyzed <br />for lead content and the results indicate that the lead concentrations ranged from less than 0.010% <br />weight to 0.063% weight, which are below 0.50% by weight The paints are not considered lead based <br />paint. A copy of the EMSL analytical report is included in Appendix D. <br />Lead solder was observed on the pipe in the hasement located in Building 716. This material must be <br />handled and disposed of as lead containing. <br />2.3 Regulated Waste Summary <br />The following regulated waste was observed on the property: <br />2.3.1 Mercury <br />• 397 Florescent bulbs <br />• 3 Thermostats <br />• 3 Exit signs <br />Carlson McCain, Inc.
