PROJECT AND DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />COUNTY ROAD 12 TRUNK SEWER AND WATER <br />EXTENSION: <br />Construction of trunk sewer and water from the <br />treatment plant, across Highway 169 and the Hohlen <br />property, along County Road 12 to the Schultz property. <br />This construction project will not begin until 1998. <br /> <br />COST AND FINANCING <br /> <br /> /~,~ // ~,'~ <br />$~/million - $ Vmillion will be assessed against the <br />benefited property owners and repaid over a 15 year <br />assessment period. The city will bond for this <br />improvement in spring, 1998, depending on ~vhen. the <br />project is approved. The city's share of $ V/~~o~l~t <br /> <br />ELK RIVER BRIDGE RAILING: <br /> <br />be paid from general tax revenues, a contribution from <br />the sewer fund, use of the city development reserves, and <br />annual contributions from the NSP-RDF program. <br /> <br /> ~Construct a railing on the south side of the bridge over <br /> the Elk River located by the Lake Orono Dam. <br /> <br /> SIMONET DRIVE: <br /> ~he addition of a left turn lane on westbound Highway <br />~(~~/10 at the Simonet Drive intersection. <br /> HIGHWAY 169 SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS: <br /> <br />$21,000 - The city will use either its street or its capital <br />projects reserve fund for this expenditure. <br /> <br />$250,000 - This project will be 100% funded by MnDOT. <br /> <br />The installation of forty highway street lights and chain $200,000 for the lights - This will be 100% funded by <br />link fencing on both sides of Highway 169 from Main__ MnDOT and the city will be responsible for maintenance. <br />Street to 193ra Avenue.
