MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />*Item 3.9.* <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and Council <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Lori Johnson, Finance Director <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />September 8, 2003 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Consider Cabinet Quotes for Emergency Operations Center <br /> (EOC) <br /> <br />As you know, there is a need to replace the damaged cabinets in the new EOC. Don <br />Stutesman, Kraus Anderson, has received three quotes for building and installing the <br />cabinets. The low quote of the three received was from O'Keefe Cabinets at a cost of <br />$43,058.00. Additionally, George Cook will charge approximately $3,066.00 to remove the <br />existing cabinets so the total replacement cost will be approximately $46,124.00. Although <br />the City is awarding the contract to replace the cabinets, the cost will ultimately be covered <br />by insurance. At this time it is not clear which policy or policies will cover the costs, but it is <br />clear that this is not a City cost. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />The Council is asked to award cabinet replacement in the EOC to O'Keefe Cabinets at a <br />cost of $43,058.00. <br /> <br />S:\COUNCIL\Lori~2003\Cabinet Quotes.doc <br /> <br /> <br />
