Statute requires that resolutions axe adopted by a 2/3 majority vote. <br />BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION <br />Representatives from The Eddy Foundation were present at the September 19, 2011, City Council <br />meeting and presented $2,000 to the Elk Rivex Fire Department and $2,000 to the Elk River Police <br />Department. <br />The Police Department has also received a $100 donation from Mr. and Mrs. Aloysious Goblirsch. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />The Eddy Foundation donated a total of $4,000 to the City of Elk River. The Fire Department will use <br />their $2,000 to purchase firefighting and rescue equipment.
