Appendix E: Relevant News Articles (cont.) <br />~t~~sois <br />REAL ESTATE JOURNAL <br />Friday February 10 2006 <br />Great River to construct new Maple Grove headquarters <br />Power supplier plans to move operations from Elk River <br />Staff Writer RE]ournals.com <br />Great River Energy, the second-largest wholesale power supplier in Minnesota, is moving its <br />headquarters from Elk River to Maple Grove, and has hired a design and construction team <br />to build a proposed 150,000-square-foot corporate headquarters facility there. <br />Great River says The TEGRA Group will act as its representative for the project, while <br />Perkins + Will has been designated as project architect and McGough Construction will be <br />the general contractor. <br />The company, which listed 2004 revenues of $540 million, has more than 700 employees, <br />and says it will relocate staff members from Elk River in 2008. The project is subject to <br />completion of land acquisition and gaining city approvals. The new headquarters will use <br />what the company calls "green" building techniques with "state-of-the-art sustainable, <br />energy and environmental design and construction technologies." <br />Great River says more than 100 of its employees will remain at its existing Elk River facility <br />-- which will evolve into an industrial site and house transmission and maintenance facilities <br />as well as the Elk River Station power plant. <br />
