<br />capacity-building programs, economic development offerings, and grant funding
<br />priorities have adapted to the issues and opportunities we have faced together since 1986,
<br />the Foundation's basic mission ...unlocking citizens' potential to create a great place to
<br />Zive, work and grow ... remains unchanged.
<br />Within this mailing, you will find an Impact Statement and County Project List which
<br />provide a broad overview of Foundation support since inception and detailed information
<br />for Sherburne County, respectively-a showcase of WHAT we have done. Please find
<br />also a number of fact sheets with brief descriptions of Initiative Foundation community
<br />and economic development programs and offerings-a glimpse into HOW we accomplish
<br />our mission. Program descriptions are included so that you and your constituents can
<br />become better acquainted with Foundation programs and offerings as part of our
<br />economic and community development support.
<br />With your support the Initiative Foundation has facilitated asset-based community
<br />development processes and provided business financing loans to help create and retain
<br />living wage jobs. Together we have helped create community coalitions in support of
<br />Early Childhood Education and helped create coalitions to rid Central Minnesota of the
<br />scourge of methamphetamines. You have helped us assist faith-based groups as they
<br />serve our oldest residents and assist community groups who must plan for unprecedented
<br />and explosive population growth. The Initiative Foundation remains YOUR local
<br />resource for community and economic development. We work with and through local
<br />citizens to enhance the quality of life we share.
<br />Will you please help to further the Initiative Foundation's mission and activities
