INACTIVITY
The Initiative Foundation relies heavily on the leadership of the Community Fund Governing Board
to develop an active, sustainable community fund. This includes developing long-term marketing
plans, operating funding campaigns, developing leadership transition plans as new governing board
members are recruited, and distributing grant dollazs, as directed in the resolution establishing the
community fund. Should the Community Funds be challenged to develop and implement these
programs at the local level, the Initiative Foundation reserves the right to take whatever appropriate
means maybe required to sustain the leadership and programs of the Community Fund.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE INITIATIVE FOUNDATION DISSOLVES?
With a substantial endowment, and a broad base of philanthropic support for its programs, the
Initiative Foundation is a fiscally sound organization. We foresee consistent and progressive
growth in our asset base, and are committed to increasing our endowment to support current
program and administrative needs.
H'.\Communiry Funds\Community Pund Pmg OUJive 2004.doo
3/21/2000
