RESOLUTION 97 - 121 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GEOMETRIC LAYOUT OF THE <br />UPLAND AVENUE AND TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 <br /> INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AND SIGNALIZATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation has prepared a <br />preliminary layout for the improvement of a part of Trunk Highway 10 within <br />the corporate limits of the City of Elk River at the intersection of Upland <br />Avenue and seeks the approval thereof; and <br /> <br />said preliminary layouts are on file in the Office of the Department of <br />Transportation, Saint Paul, Minnesota being marked, labeled, and identified as <br />Layout 1, S.P. 7102-84 (TH 10), Signal Improvements to Upland Avenue; and <br /> <br />the City of Elk River would be required to enter into a cooperative agreement <br />with the state to participate in the local costs associated with this project as <br />outlined in Mn/DOT's "Procedures for Cooperative Construction Projects with <br />Municipalities" (Highways No. 85-1-P-IA), which was issued March 5, 1986. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />That said preliminary layouts for the improvement of said Trunk Highway within the <br />corporate limits be and hereby approved, and the City agrees to participate in costs <br />associated with this project as set forth in the Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />"Procedures for Cooperative Construction Projects with Municipalities." <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 24~ day of November, 1997. <br /> <br />ATTESTED: <br /> <br />John.
