RESOLUTION #I (- RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITY OF ELK RIVER WHEREAS, the Ciry of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and individuals for their contributions to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $14,000 donation from The Bank of Elk River with the intent it be used by the Parks and Recreation Department for exclusive sponsorship of the 2011 River's Edge Concert Series, Farmers Market, Chalk-It-Up, and Kidstock Special Events as well as co-sponsors of other events; and WHEREAS, the Ciry of Elk River recognizes that The Bank of Elk River: • Has been a community bank fox more than 126 years • Is the oldest bank in Sherburne County • Provides true community banking services to the Elk River community WHEREAS, the Ciry of Elk River recognizes The Bank of Elk River in proactively supporting and contributing to civic and municipal causes; and WHEREAS, the City of Elk River recognizes The Bank of Elk River for encouraging and supporting its employees in volunteering and dedication to the community; and WHEREAS, the Ciry of Elk River acknowledges that The Bank of Elk River has independently or exclusively provided financial support for the Downtown Riverfront Concert Series for three years; and WHEREAS, the Ciry of Elk River recognizes The Bank of Elk River .fox its integrity, dedication and loyalty in supporting the Elk River community by helping to provide free quality entertainment; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ciry Council of the Ciry of Elk River, by at least atwo-thirds vote, to acknowledge the financial support and commend the Bank of Elk River for their community focus and good corporate citizenship and leadership.
