The fee for August should be $2,103.75. E-bill implementation is still underway. Summer vacation schedules with the programmer and the development staff has made this a slower process this past month. The programming and demos we have seen so far are very exciting and we think this will be a great service upon completion. We had apre-proposal audit meeting Wednesday, September 7`h with the City and various interested auditing firms. The deadline for RFP submissions is 4:30 pm September 19a'. I attended the MMUA Annual Summer Meeting at the end of August and came away with some great information. One of them is program through the State of MN called Revenue Recapture, established with Statute 270A. This allows us to submit past due residential customers to the state and essentially file a claim. If the customer is a MN resident and files a tax return or requests a rent credit, any amounts paid would have our claim amounts deducted first and the balance is paid to the customer. A few utilities are using it and several cities, colleges, and hospitals are using it. This is a vehicle For us to be able to obtain funds for past due electric bills that are not assessable. After discussing this program with our Attorney, Peter Beck, we submitted our request and have already received our agency ID# to begin submitting claims.
