Request by Elk River Landfill, Inc. for Conditional Use Permit to expand the existing landfill into 31.8 acres of property located immediately south of the existing landfill, Public Hearin -Case No. CU 11-12 ACTION REQUESTED Planning Commission recommendation to the City Council on whether to approve a Land Use Amendment and Rezoning of 33 acres to allow for expansion of the Elk River Landfill. The Planning Commission should also make a recommendation to the City Council on whether to approve a CUP and license to allow 27.2 additional acres of lined mixed solid waste (MSW) and 31.8 acre expansion for landfill operations. (Landfill) is requesting a Land Use Amendment, Zone Change and Conditional Use Permit to expand the Landfill into 31.8 acres of property located immediately south of the existing landfill property.
