A background check and <br />reference checks have been completed and staff recommends hiring Chris Teff for this position. Mr. <br />Teff has been working for an excavating company for the past ten years and is excited to begin his career <br />with the City. <br />Mr. Teff would start at step A of pay grade 2. After 6 months of employment, he would be eligible for <br />any cost of living increase given to non-union employees and a step increase dependent upon satisfactory <br />performance. Mr. Teff would be eligible for his next step increase on July 1, 2013. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />The savings from the street superintendent's phased retirement will fund this position.
