Fran thought that was a great idea, but it should be kept <br />confidential. Commissioner ~Zortensen added that it needs to be well planned. Chair <br />Lindberg added that he would haz-e difficult- supporting moving ahead «-ithout a super <br />majoring (iatlier than just ~1° o). Councilmember ~~'estgaard concurred, stating that it should <br />be more along the lines of 8~ - 90°,!o for moving ahead «-ith a sut-~-ey of die neighborhood. <br />Design guidelines «-ere discussed (having the residents give il-tput). At t11e newt meeting, <br />dates will be set up for the neighborhood meeting. <br />Commissioner Mortensen commented that she did some research on historic neighborhoods <br />and she "found some reall~T good stuff '. • <br />5 Strategic Plan <br />En~-uonmental Administrator Haug, Commissioners Konietzko, and Mortensen a>ill form a <br />subcommittee to discuss the strategic plan and bring that back to the commission. <br />Environmental Administrator Haug added that she will e-mail Councilmember Westgaard <br />also and ask the absent commissioners if they are interested in participating. <br />6) Planning Commission items <br />Environmental Administrator Haug stated there were no topics reflecting histol7c issues, <br />meaning that all items have no SHPO sites and all have lo~x~ probability of an archaeological <br />site. <br />7) Fast Track Grant Update for Tackson Street Water Tov~~er <br />Environmental Administrator Haug stated that the grant application was submitted after <br />more adjustments and is ~~aiting for a response back. She will inform the cotntnission once <br />she has heard the determination. Environmental Administrator Haug added that she felt it's <br />a good thing that it hasn't been completely denied. A comment was made that it's rather <br />ironic that tlis is called the "fast track" grant. <br />8 Other <br />TointMeeting with the HRA <br />Environmental Administrator Haug discussed having a joint meeting v~ith the HRA to learn <br />more about the legislation for historic tam credits and what that is. The thought would be to • <br />have a speaker come in and educate both groups at once. The legislation for the credit has <br />been passed but there are no details yet. Requests have already been coming in to the <br />
