Economic Development Authority Minutes <br />June 10, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br />Ms. Hall indicated that staff would be attempting to reassemble the mazketing committee. <br />She indicated that there is the potential need fox new members. Commissioner Tveite <br />suggested going to the constituencies that axe currently represented on the marketing <br />committee to ask for recommendations. <br />Heidi Hall noted that the City's 2001 Strategic Industrial Ad Campaign was nominated and <br />awarded the Economic Development Association of Minnesota's Best Advertising <br />Campaign award. She also noted that the City's Communication Strategy and Brand Plan <br />was nominated fox the League of Minnesota Cities' Communications award. <br />6. Consider Participation in 'VIlnnesota Communirv C2pical Fund (NICCF,l <br />Director of Economic Development Catherine Nlehelich indicated that staff has received a <br />request for the city's participation in the Nnnesota Community Capital Fund (MCCF). <br />Catherine noted that membership in the MCCF provides the economic development <br />organization fle:dbility to ftmd large housing and economic development projects that would <br />otherwise not be possible through typical micro-loan funds. <br />Scott Maxdn, CEO/Fund Developer was present and gave an overview of the MCCF. <br />The members of the EDA indicated its interest in this type of program. President Gongoll <br />requested that the staff further review this program and follow up with a recommendation <br />to the EDA. <br />Other Business <br />There was no other business. <br />8. Adjournment <br />There being no other business, COMMISSIONER TVEITE MOVED TO ADJOURN <br />THE MEETING.
