Economic Development Authority Minutes <br />January 8, 2001 <br />• STEPHANIE KLINZING <br />• JEFF GONGOLL <br />• LARRY HICKMAN <br />• JIM BARTHEL <br />• JACK MOWRY <br />• LOUISE KUESTER <br />NEITE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br />Review Enablina Resolution/Bylaws for Suaaested Chances <br />Page 3 <br />President Gongoll suggested that the EDA members review the by-laws and <br />contact the Executive Director with any recommended changes. Catherine <br />Mehelich indicated that staff has no proposed changes to the by-laws at this <br />time. <br />6. Strategic Industrial Marketing Plan <br />Executive Director Catherine Mehelich reviewed the action steps that staff has <br />been working on in the Strategic Marketing Plan during the past six months. She <br />also reviewed the action steps that staff will be working toward during the next <br />year. <br />Other Business <br />Catherine Mehelich updated the EDA on a recently published article in City <br />Business on Soffpac. <br />Catherine Mehelich indicated that staff is attempting to schedule a joint meeting <br />between the Council, EDA, and HRA to discuss tax abatement and tax increment <br />financing. <br />President Gongoll informed the EDA that Executive Secretary Alice Heinecke is <br />resigning. He thanked Alice for the work she provided to the EDA over the past <br />years. <br />8. Adjournment <br />There being no other business, COMMISSIONER DWYER MOVED TO ADJOURN THE <br />MEETING. COMMISSIONER KOENIG SECONDED THE MOTION.
