213.01 <br /> <br />POLICE CAPTAIN <br /> <br />2 2 <br /> <br />9.) <br /> <br />Ensure the Operations Manual is current and updated as necessary <br />because of legal, legislative and/or P.O.S.T. changes. <br /> <br />10.) <br /> <br />Assist the Police Chief with the Annual Report and the Police <br />Department Budget. <br /> <br />11.) <br /> <br />Compile and apply for grants for the Police Department, as well as <br />administer the' grants if successful. <br /> <br />12.) <br /> <br />Responsible for overall management of the Field Training Unit <br />(F.T.O.) <br /> <br />13.) Coordinate and manage the Wage Inventive Program (W.I.P.). <br /> <br />14.) Serve as the Critical Incident Commander. <br /> <br />15.) <br /> <br />Review reports to ensure appropriate information is included by <br />staff. <br /> <br />16.) Serves on the Safety Committee to ensure safety rules are <br /> appropriate and to comply to OSHA requirements. <br /> <br />17.) <br /> <br />Overall supervision of all Police Department employees and the <br />Elk River Police Reserve Unit. <br /> <br />18.)
