Fire Department Open House Update <br />Fire Chief Bruce West informed the Council that the Elk River Fire Department and <br />Ambulance Service will hold its annual Fire Department Open House and Dance <br />on September 19, 1998. <br />4.2. Wapiti Park Campground Update <br />Building and Zoning Administrator Steve Rohlf introduced the new owners of <br />Wapiti Park. He indicated that campgrounds are no longer allowed in the R1 b <br />zone, but Wapiti Park is legally grandfathered in as a nonconforming use. Steve <br />Rohlf indicated that the owners of Wapiti Park, Mike and Anita Glenn, have <br />agreed to comply with the city's requirements to ensure that the recreational <br />vehicles in Wapiti larl~ meet the definition in state statutes. Steve Rohlf stated that <br />Mr. and Mrs. Glenn will be sending out a notice to all Wapiti Park Campground <br />campers and residents informing them of these requirements. <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE RECOMMENDATION MADE <br />BY THE BUILDING AND ZONING ADMINISTRATOR AS INDICATED IN HIS MEMO DATED <br />
