As you may recall we have increased our State Aid allocation
for maintenance to allow for a more aggressive seal coat program. This increased allocation is reflected in
the budget below. This increased allocation will allow us to begin a program to seal coat all streets every
eight years. Staff will prepare plans and specifications, maps, bid opening, and inspections. Plans and
specifications will include provisions to eliminate areas from the project if funding is not available.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The general fund budget for the 2011 Seal Coat Project is at $ 333,750, with an additional $ 1,950 in
impact fees from the Carson Business Park for a total project budget of $335,700. Plans and
specifications will include provisions to eliminate areas from the project if funding is less than the final
bid.
ATTACHMENTS
• 2011 Seal Coat Programed Areas
Action Motion by Second by Vote
Follow Up
