While the endangering circumstances vary, PAM's response remains
the same-to shine a spotlight on these important places, and to equip local
advocates to ral)y for preservation. Whether these places face impending
demolition or continual neglect,` financial hurdles, organizational challenges,
or restrictive public policy, PAM hopes to focus public attention on favorable
outcomes that can be achieved through a preservation approach. Of the more
than 150 historic places featured :over the ife of this program, nearly two-
thirds have been saved in part by their inclusion on the 10 Most Endangered
`Historic Places list.
`Now celebrating its 30^ anniversary, PAM is a statewide, private, nonprofit
organization advocating for the preservation of Minnesota's historic resources.
PAM was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1981 by Minnesota citizens
concerned about the future of the state's architectural and cultural landmarks,
and has grown into a network representing thousands of voices statewide.
Beyond our membership, we collaborate and partner with other local, state,
and national organizations and agencies to preserve, protect, and promote
historic places in our communities.
For more information about these sites, and to see what you can do to help,
visit `~ww.rrtnpreservatis~n.org~prc~grara~s~ten-mast-enelangered
~~1. ~-~~
PRESERVE PROTECT
~~~
PROMOTE
