DRAFT <br />MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER <br />BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION <br />HELD AT ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br />MONDAY, MAY I b, 201 I <br />Members Present: Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Zerwas, Motin, and Westgaard <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Gumphrey <br />Staff Present: City Clerk Tina Allard <br />Also Present: Sherburne County Assessor Gerald Kritzeck, Chief Deputy John Cullen, <br />Residential Appraisers Greg Olson, Theresa Quinn, and Shelly Murschel, <br />Call Meeting To Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Board of Appeal and <br />Equalization reconvened at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Dietz. <br />2. Board of Appeal and Equalization <br />The Board of Appeal and Equalization heard appeals as outlined below: <br />1. John Affords, Parcel Identification Numbers 75-404-0050, 75-404-0031, and <br />75-408-0175 <br />Mr. Cullen provided a handout with suggested changes. He stated he did a reconciliation <br />based on income and costs. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER WESTGAARD TO REDUCE THE VALUATION BY <br />$54,000 ON PARCEL 75-408-0175. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />Mr. Cullen reviewed the appraisals for parcels 75-404-0050 and 75-404-0031. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN TO MAKE NO CHANGE TO PARCEL 75-404- <br />0031. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER WESTGAARD AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN TO MAKE NO CHANGE TO PARCEL 75-404- <br />0050. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />2. Lori Neutgens, Parcel Identification Number 75-546-0256 <br />The property owner felt her value was too low. Mr. Olson stated he reviewed the <br />improvements made to this property and outlined his suggested changes in a handout. <br />
