El
iver Date:
Police Department Subject:

Memorandum

Mayor and City Court=il

Tom Zerwas, Chief of Police

September 2, 1997

No Parking 2-6 a.m.

**ITEM 3.3. **

This is to inform the City Council that City staff have been
receiving complaints from citizens in regard to parking on Auburn
Place, north of 6½ Street. This parking problem is ongoing
throughout the summer months.

I am recommending that the area from 6½ Street, north throughout
the Auburn Place cul-de-sac, be designated a No Parking 2-6 a.m.
zone. This would be consistent with most of our other apartment
complex areas.

I am also recommending that Auburn Place, on the west side, from 6½
Street to the south end of the neighborhood park, be designated a
"No Parking" zone. This recommendation is a request from
neighborhood parents concerned about children running between
parked vehicles from the park. I have discussed this with street
superintendent Phil Hals and he concurs.

If you have any questions, give me a call.

TDZ/smp

13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
