President Touchette read an email from subcommittee member Chris <br />Carlson also supporting ChandlerThinks. <br />MOVED BY COMMISSIONER ZERWAS AND SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER DWYER TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH CHANDLERTHINKS FOR ACITY-WIDE BRANDING <br />AND MARKETING STRATEGY AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $37,250. <br />MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br />6. Review Draft Amendments to Micro Loan Program <br />Ms. Mehelich presented her staff report. <br />Commissioner Motin indicated that he prefers the term downtown rehabilitation over <br />downtown revitalization. <br />Discussion took place on the proposed $10,000 loan limit. Commissioners were open to <br />increasing that limit and directed staff to refer this item back to the EDA Finance <br />Committee to prepare a recommendation. Ms. Mehelich indicated that one of the issues is <br />difficulty in collateralizing tenant improvements. <br />Other Business <br />Ms. Mehelich stated that included in the packets are copies of information staff has collected • <br />over the past few months that will provide the EDA with insight into current development <br />trends, tools, and developer expectations. <br />8.
