III STANDARDS

1 .) Boundary:

Extraction operations shall be conducted within the confines of the
boundaries indicated within this application.

2,) Setbacks:

Site setbacks will be fifty feet from property lines and right-of-ways
that are not adjacent to other areas where mining is allowed. The fifty
foot setback is applicable along 1 69, 221st' the southern boundary of
the southern parcel, and the western boundary that borders the
abandoned railroad track. The remaining property lines are adjacent to
properties which can be mined and the setback is 30'. Mining shall not
be conducted within 5 feet of a right-of-way of an existing public
utility.

221st Ave. runs through a portion of the property. It is anticipated
that this road will be lowered in the future as mining progresses to the
southern portion of the site. The setbacks from the right-of way
would be mined in conjunction with the lowering of the road. Figure 4
illustrates alternative reclamation grades for this area if the road is
lowered. The grades assume mining activity to the west of the site.

3.) Fencing:

The site will be fenced and will meet the ordinance requirements of 4
feet in height with a minimum support post placement of 10'.

4.) Appearance and Screening:

All equipment will be kept operational. Abandoned equipment and
rubbish will be periodically removed from the site. Within 3 months
after termination of mining, or within 3 months after termination of the
extraction license, all buildings and structures incidental to extraction
operations will be removed. The site will be graded in accordance
with the reclamation plan.

The perimeter of the site will be screened along 169, north of 221st
Ave. A berm will be constructed, seeded, and maintained.

10
