The leak <br />started because of a faulty heater that corroded and did not trip out, which increased the <br />temperature above normal and caused a tank to emit chlorine. The Elk River Fire <br />• Department came to set up perimeters and secured the area from traffic/local residents until <br />the hazmat team came to the well to contain the tank and assess the area. The im~oice from <br />The State of Minnesota is for $11,081.62 and is to be paid in Apri12011. <br />• <br />
