~' February 23, 2011 Mr. Justin Femrite, PE City of Elk River 13065 Orono Parkway Elk River, MN 55330 MIDWEST Proposal # 29606-11P Email: jfemrite~a ci.elk-river.mn.us RE: Land Surveying Services for Public Works Facility Property, Elk River, Minnesota Dear Justin, We are pleased to present the following proposal for land surveying services for the City Public Works Facility located on Proctor Avenue, Elk River. MIDWEST Land Surveyors & Civil Engineers, Inc. would complete our services within three weeks upon authorization to proceed. PROJECT DEFINITION: The project is presently defined as the Public Works property and contains approximately 40± acres. The City of Elk River has requested a proposal from our firm for a Boundary and Topographic map of this site. LAND SURVEYING SERVICES: • Boundary Survey MIDWEST will provide a boundary survey of the City property based upon current records at the County Court House. Iron monuments and a wood lathe would be placed at each property corner. • Topographic Survey MIDWEST will obtain field elevations to produce a map that would provide the City with 2-foot contour intervals with spot elevations at various locations. Also this map will show above-ground and under-ground utilities from visible surface evidence, and available records at the City. • Map Drawing MIDWEST will provide a map with descriptions showing the boundary lines of the City owned property and all topographic features along with 2' contours. An AutoCADD disc would also be provided with the hard copy drawing.
