Item # 6 <br />R.1ver <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Lori Johnson, City Administrator <br />DATE: February 22, 201 I <br />SUBJECT: Visioning <br />In October the Council adopted the vision and goals staff developed during a two day <br />worksession that was held in September with Jermaine Davis. Subsequently, staff presented a <br />set of action steps to support the goals. The Council discussed the action steps and asked <br />staff to prioritize them and report back to the Council. <br />At Tuesday's worksession, Mr. Davis will lead the Council and staff in the next phase of the <br />visioning and goals setting process. As you know, a considerable amount of progress has <br />already been made and now Mr. Davis is back to facilitate a session during which he will <br />review what we have done since he was here last time and give us guidance on how to stay <br />the course in the future. <br />If you would like copies of previously distributed materials, you may either contact me for <br />copies or the documents can be found at the city's website under the following City Council <br />agenda packets: <br />• October 11, 2010 -Item # 5.1. <br />• October 18, 2010 -Item # 7.2. <br />• January 10, 2011 -Item # 5.1. <br />The discussion is expected to last four hours.
