Chaska Community Center <br />Chaska, Minnesota <br />oes~y~ cmuo <br />The Chaska Community Center provides a vital gathering point in <br />the community and includes a 12,000 square foot leisure pool with <br />water slide and zero depth entry, an ice arena, two gymnasiums, <br />racquetball courts, fitness and exercise space, outdoor aquatics, <br />multipurpose community room, and arts facilities. <br />After completion of the original building in 1991, a second practice <br />ice arena and a 21,000 square foot arts addition were completed <br />in 1998. The ice addition includes locker rooms, while the $2.7 <br />million arts addition features a 240-seat theater, art gallery, offices, <br />cafe, and children's room. In 1999, a new physical therapy clinic <br />was added. The new millennium has seen some changes as well: <br />• 2005 -Our staff completed a fitness area renovation; creating a <br />floor 12' above the existing gym floor, dividing the space, which <br />allows for a new 2,000 square foot aerobics room and a 3,800 <br />square foot fitness area.
