Item # 6. <br />ver <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Park and Recreation Commission <br />FROM: Michele McPhersoY~' Director of Planning <br />DATE: February 12, 2003 <br />SUBJECT: Highlands East and West Parks -Neighborhood Meeting <br />Attachments <br />Location Map <br />Property Owners List -Hillside Estates Area <br />I-righlands East (Hillside 5) Park Plan <br />Request <br />At the January 8, 2003 Commission, a petition was received from the Hillside neighborhood, <br />requesting reconsideration of park development for Hillside 5`h, now Highlands East Park. <br />The City Council concurred with the Commission's recommendation to hold a <br />neighborhood meeting to gather input regarding this issue. Staff invited the residents on the <br />attached list to the February meeting to review the 1998 plan and provide input to the park <br />development process. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Commission hold the neighborhood meeting, and if appropriate, <br />make a recommendation to the Ciry Council regarding the development of Highlands East <br />Park. <br />S:\PLANNL*IGWiICHMC\PARKNELEC\Puks\Highland Easc\'_~1_ pr memo.doc <br />
