Item # 9.C.2. <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Park and Recreation Commission <br />FROM: Michele McPherson, Director of Planning <br />DATE: October 8, 2003 <br />SUBJECT: Discuss 2004 CIP Budget <br />Staff is in the process of assembling the project list for the 2004 CII' Budget to determine <br />final budget numbers and present a finalized list for the Commission to consider over the <br />next several months. Cturently, under the Park Development Schedule, the following items <br />were identified to be completed in 2004: <br />1. Deerfield Hill Park -Additional play equipment <br />2. Lions Park -Skate park ramps, parking lot expansion, add three additional Frisbee <br />golf holes, overlay existing trails. <br />3. Meadowvale Heights -Grading/seeding, landscape buffer <br />4. Ridgewood East Park -Enlarge play structure, add a swingset, replace sand <br />volleyball with full coon basketball. <br />5. Trott Brook Farms - Trail connection, hockey rink <br />6. Youth Athletic Complex -Spectator bleacher pads, spectator bleacher shelters, <br />playground, pazking lot. <br />In addition, staff has identified additional projects: <br />1. Highlands West Park -Full coon basketball <br />2. Youth Athletic Complex -Concession stand interior <br />Staff requests that the Commission provide a preliminary indication as to whether any, all or <br />none of the above projects should be included in the 2004 CIP Budget. Staff would, <br />however, strongly recommend that the Lions Park Center pazking lot expansion be included <br />in the CII' Budget and that it be bid and contracted out for completion.
