This group is now planning an outing to the James J Hill House in St. Paul. <br />The city van will be driven by a new RSVP vol (a retired bus driver). Lori Johnson said <br />this is ok as long as she is willing to have her driving record checked by ERPD. <br />Sizzling Sat 2-25. A Sat event co-sponsored by Faith in Action. They did the food, <br />Senior Center provided music and door prizes. # 75 attended <br />We are in the middle of a Travelogue Series co-sponsored with Community Ed. 7 <br />presentations held at the Senior Center from 1-26 thru 4-6. <br />Started Dominoes lessons <br />3-16 Newcomers Coffee Hour <br />3-29 Healthy Living "Don't Let Osteoarthritis of the Knee Become a Pain presented by <br />Sherburne County Public Health. The materials for this topic are sponsored by TSN a <br />national company that provides free materials for qualifying senior centers throughout the <br />US. <br />3-30 /Lions Annual Pancake Dinner at the Senior Center, includes a fundraiser for the <br />local food shelf. <br />Feb/Mar Tours: <br />2-28 /Turtle Lake Casino Mardi Gras <br />3-9 /Red Hats to Silver Springs Buffet and Elvis show. Many area Red Hat groups <br />invited. Elk River Senior Center planned this event and asked the Monticello <br />Senior Center to co-sponsor. <br />Special Marketing Efforts <br />Beginning to market for the S.A.L.T Council's annual "Senior Day Out" on 5-306. The senior <br />center does the registration for this event. Registration forms are in the Senior Center Good <br />News Letter, in the Star News and other county publications and on local cable. <br />
