Jordan Valley Recreation Ice Complex <br />Springfield, Missouri <br />The Jordan Valley Recreational Ice Complex is an indoor ice arena <br />that features two ice sheets, spectator seating for 800, locker rooms, <br />party rooms and a concessions area. <br />The ice complex is one element of a larger urban plan, the City of <br />Springfield's New Master Plan for Urban Improvements. The plan <br />incorporates and unifies urban green space in the community. As <br />part of this master plan, the ice complex is located within a civic <br />green space and provides extensive views to the surrounding park. <br />The glass facades of the facility's public spaces allow expansive <br />views between the interior and exterior spaces, visually integrating <br />the ice complex with the adjacent green space. <br />~ Springfield, Missouri AIA Owner <br />Honor Award, 2003 City of Springfield <br />Construction Cost <br />$7.4 million <br /> <br />
