C. Reports any concerns, problems or suggestions to the Park Maintenance Supervisor. <br />D. Assists in training new employees. <br />E. Assists in trouble-shooting and responding to division concerns. <br />4. Performs other essential job duties. <br />A. Removes snow from park trails, sidewalks, parking lots, building entrances, steps, <br />and streets as needed. <br />B. Assists with preparations for special events and activities. <br />C. Keeps Park Maintenance Supervisor informed of progress and job status. <br />D. Regular and timely work attendance. <br />E. Follows all safety procedures. <br />F. Participates in safety training. <br />Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities <br />^ Abiliry to operate light motorized park maintenance equipment. <br />^ Abiliry to perform light equipment maintenance. <br />^ Abiliry to lift 50 pounds. <br />^ Abiliry to safely complete minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work utilizing power <br />hand tools. <br />^ Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule. <br />^ Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and to perform strenuous <br />physical labor under adverse environmental conditions. <br />^ Abiliry to communicate orally and in writing. <br />^ Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. <br />^ Ability to establish. and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, <br />and the public. <br />^ Ability to effectively supervise, direct, and motivate employees. <br />^ Abiliry to delegate work. <br />Minimum Qualifications <br />^ High school diploma or equivalent. <br />^ Two years related work experience including operating light equipment. <br />^ Valid driver's license. <br />^ Class B Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. <br />Preferred Qualifications <br />^ Related specialized training beyond high school. <br />^ Experience working in a park department. <br />^ Supervisory experience. <br />'phis Position llescriprion is nor~ntended to be all.-v~clusi~e. lr is within the (:in of F,lk P~iti-cg's ~~iscretion <br />t<> assign additional duties and responsibilities or icn~o~~e duties and respi~nsil~ilities at and tune. <br />This Position Description sloes not c~~nstitutc a Contract of Employment. <br />Page 2 <br />Lead Park%20Maintenance%20Lead%20Worker%20-%20Draft[1] <br />
