The EA/EAW is a joint Federal/State <br />document prepared to fulfill environmental review requirements. At the federal level, the EAlEAW is Highway 1s9 <br />used to provide sufficient environmental documentation to determine the need for an Environmental ~VER'JIEW <br />Impact Statement (EIS) or that a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) is appropriate. At the state <br /> <br />the EA/EAW is used to provide sufficient environmental documentation to determine the need <br />level FRO.fECT STATUS <br />, <br />for a state EIS or that a Negative Declaration is appropriate.
