ity of iver MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: Mayor and City Council Ach, City Planner~~ Steve April 7, 1997 Tentative Schedule for Eastern Area Sewer Extension and Development of Sehulze Property At a previous Council meeting staff has indicated that there are several steps which need to be followed to begin the extension of utilities into the eastern area of Elk River. The attached time line includes several tasks that staff is and will be working on, as well as critical dates for Planning Commission and City Council review of development plans of the Waddy Schulze property. The critical dates the Council should be aware of is the tentative meeting on May 12th when the eastern area planning study will presented to the City Council. Along with the planning study, the request for a feasibility study for the Waddy Schulze property will be presented. The request for a feasibility study has been submitted by Contractor Property Developers Company (CPDC). The last item on May 12th will be options of a phase one trunk extension that the City Council may want to consider. Once this process begins, the next critical time period will be the public hearing process for the trunk utility extension. The date that has been programmed into this tentative schedule is October 20th. Certainly these dates are subject to change; however, to get a grasp on the general time frame over the course of this year, a schedule has been established. In conclusion, if the Council has any questions or comments staff would be very interested to hear those as early on as possible.
