Library Board Annual Report <br /> <br />The 1996 Library Board Annual Report was presented by Mick Stoffers. <br /> <br />Mick Stoffers stated that at its January meeting, the Great River Regional Library <br />(GRRL) Board authorized the establishment of a matching grant program that <br />would assist Sherburne and Wright County branch libraries in obtaining public <br />access Internet stations. She indicated that GRRL has set aside funds to provide a <br />match of $t ,400 for any city that provides $1,800 toward the Internet computer, <br />related computer equipment, and necessary furniture. It was the consensus of <br />the Council to put this issue on the April 21, 1997, City Council agenda. <br /> <br />4.3. Consider Proposal for Internet/Web Site <br /> <br />City Clerk Sandra Thackeray explained that the city has requested proposals to <br />begin building the City of Elk River's own Worldwide Web Site. She indicated that <br />the city received four proposals and recommended that the Council authorize <br />the city to contract with On Ramp, Inc. to set up a web site. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON MOVED TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL FROM ON RAMP, <br />INC. TO SET UP A WEB SITE FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AT A TOTAL COST OF $2,500 <br />AND A TOTAL MONTHLY COST OF $167.90. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br /> <br />
