CSAH #1 - Dave Schwarting gave an update of the plans for construction of <br />CSAH Cf 1. He indicated that the County would need a resolution of support <br />from the City which indicates that the City plans to upgrade the section from <br />Highway 10 to School Street. Mayor Duitsman indicated that the City is <br />interested in upgrading the intersection of Highway 10 and Proctor to a 4 lane <br />intersection. He indicated that the City is also interested in seeing the <br />intersection of School Street and Proctor upgraded. Dave Schworting <br />indicated that the County would need a commitment from the City to assist in <br />the funding, design, right-of-way acquisition, etc., for the expansion of the two <br />intersections. <br /> <br />It was suggested that the County and City consider an underpass at the area <br />of County Road Cf 1 and the railroad trail by Meadowvale School. It was <br />indicated that it was unsafe for the citizens and students to jog or walk across <br />the street at this Iocati,~n. <br /> <br />· .CSAH # 12 - Dave Schwarfing indicated that the County will receive federal <br /> funding for 80% of the project in 1 <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman requested Terry Maurer and Dave Schwarting to work together <br />regarding the intersection of County Road 12 and 13 to allow for appropriate <br />stacking at Highway 169. <br /> <br />City Translgortation Issues <br /> <br />City Engineer Terry Maurer indicated that the City Council recently held a <br />public hearing on the City's transportation plan, but took no action on the <br />plan. The City Council may take no action on the plan until the County has <br />completed its process on the County transportation plan. <br />Joplin Street and Highway 10 Intersection... Terry Maurer indicated that plans <br />have been submifled to MnDOT for realignment of the intersection and for <br />signalization. He indicated that it is anticipated that the project will be bid <br />and be under construction this summer. <br />A request was made by a citizen regarding concerned citizens being <br />involved in the transportation committee process at both the city and county <br />levels. <br />Extension of Evans Avenue - Terry Maurer indicated that signalization process <br />has begun for the intersection of 197th Avenue and Highway 16~). <br /> <br />.Repod on County Ditch Leqislation <br /> <br />· Dave Loch and Kathy Heaney gave an update of the ditch legislation <br /> regarding the splitting of Ditch #28. It was indicated that the legislation did <br /> not pass. Kathy Heaney indicated that this issue would be brought up again <br /> in 1 f)97. <br />· Pat Klaers indicated that the County has abandoned the western pad of <br /> Ditch # 10 per the City's request. <br /> <br /> <br />
