RESOLUTION 93 - 4 <br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY O~ ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING SHERBURNE COUNTY PROGRAM <br />THE UPGRADING OF COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY 1 (CSAH 1) <br />FROM THE INTERSECTION WITH COUNTY ROAD 77 TO THE <br />INTERSECTION WITH COUNTY ROAD 32 FOR 1994 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Elk River is experiencing rapid growth along the CSAH 1 corridor <br />including the new elementary school, development in the industrial park, and <br />proposed single family development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the entire area surrounding and adjacent to the CSAH 1 corridor is within the <br /> City of Elk River's urban service area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the volume of traffic on CSAH 1 continues to increase; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />The City requests that Sherburne County consider the upgrade of CSAH i to a four lane <br />facility from the intersection with County Road 77 (Proctor Avenue) to the intersection <br />of County Road 32. <br /> <br />2. The City requests that this upgrade be programmed to be constructed in 1994. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />The City of Elk River is willing to enter into an agreement with the County to perform <br />the project design in 1993 with reimbursement from the County in 1994 when funding <br />is available. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 15 <br /> <br />__ day of February <br /> <br />,1993. <br /> <br />Duitsman, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~andra A.
