5.3. Microfilm Reader Printer <br />Technician fixed it, cost was $200. It has been used heavily since being fixed. <br />5.4. Fire Control Panel <br />2 days the Library had to close early (4:30pm) due to a malfunction in the Fire <br />Control Panel. The Library could not be open unless someone from the Fire <br />Department was on the premises. The cost to fix the Fire Control Panel was <br />$1774.12. This bill will be paid out of the reserve fund. <br />5.5. Self Checkout Stand <br />The current self checkout is being moved. The Friends of the Library purchased a <br />self checkout stand, workstation and small book cart. <br />5.6. Fireplace <br />Butch from the City called a company from Princeton. They came out and said in <br />their opinion the holes are drilled to far apart in the tube, so it's evaporating. They <br />suggested smaller holes for a steady flame. A benefit to this is the glass should not <br />get as hot. Waiting for an estimate, this would be paid out of the 2010 reserve <br />fund. <br />New Business -Brandt Canter <br />6.1. Restructure Update <br />There has been no implementation of reduction in hours at Elk River yet. Brandt <br />said they are waiting for the Union, there is no contract at this time. Based on the <br />staffing calculator used the formulas will be re-evaluated yearly. There will <br />also be an ongoing evaluation. <br />6.2. OverDrive <br />OverDrive is the new platform for GRRL for Audio & E books. Patrons will have <br />to place holds just like print. OverDrive is compatible with Sony Reader & <br />Amazon Nook. The Board of Trustees has given GRRL $35,000 for an E Book <br />Collection. <br />Adiournment <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m. Next meeting will be <br />held on September 28, 2010. <br />
