This represents a $275,600 increase from the adopted 1796 <br />budget based mainly on additional bond payments for the plant expansion <br />project. <br /> <br /> COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE GARBAGE, LIQUOR, AND <br /> WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM ENTERPRISE BUDGETS AS PRESENTED. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br /> Consider Ordinance Amendment to Allow for the Licensin of Cats <br /> <br />Police Chief Tom Zerwas distributed a revised ordinance and stated that the <br />proposed animal ordinance relates to dealing with cats at large. He indicated <br />that the animal control officer has made a request to license cats due to an <br />incident involving a child who was bit by a cat with rabies. The Police Chief <br />indicated that the proposed ordinance requires cats to be licensed and to show <br />proof of rabies vaccination. ' <br /> <br /> COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 96-28, AN <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF THE CiTY CODE, "PUBLIC NUISANCES AND <br /> ANIMALS", BY REPEALING SECTION 502, "DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS", AND <br /> ENACTING A NEW SECTION 502 IN LIEU THEREOF RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT <br /> ENTITLED "DOGS, CATS, AND ANIMALS". COUNCILMEMBER DIE'FZ SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br /> Consider Resolution A ravin Summa Publication of Animal Ordinance <br /> <br />The City Clerk indicated that the proposed resolution is a summary of the animal <br />ordinance which was previously adopted by the City Council. She stated that <br />the summary resolution would allow the City to publish a summary of the <br />ordinance rather than publishing the entire ordinance. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 96-102, A <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF OFFICIAL SUMMARY OF <br />ORDINANCE 96-28. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. Steve <br />Ach indicated that the City Council is required to hold a public hearing to review <br />the park closure statement. Steve Ach indicated that the purpose of the public <br />hearing is to review the closure statement and any impact that the park closure <br />may have on the displaced residents and the park owner.
