The County and City discussed future efforts regarding
legislative issues they can work together on.
Ms. Johnson indicated that she attended a MnDot Mississippi River Bike Trail meeting.
Currently the trail is not on this side of the Mississippi and at the meeting she requested they `~
add the section from the river bridge in Monticello on to the County Roads connecting to
downtown Elk River. Mr. Femrite will continue working with MnDot on this issue. Ms.
Johnson stated securing linking trails through the City and County is an important goal as it
furthers economic development and becomes a destination fox tourists.
