Box 700 Osseo, M2N 55369 Dear Mr. Talbot, This letter is in response to your letter dated June 24, 2003. In response to item # 1 regarding building and fire codes, I gave you a letter after the Planning Commission meeting, dated June 23, 2003 from Terry Zajac, the Senior Building Inspector, outlining the building and fire code issues. If you would like more information regarding these issues, please contact Terry Zajac at 763-635-1000 or Bruce West, Fire Chief, at 763-441-4919. Conditional Use Permits are issued to uses with specific conditions that are deemed appropriate to the given request. You requested spedfic codes, chapters and paragraphs that pertain to these issues. I have enclosed Section 30-651 thru Section 30-655 of the Zoning Ordinance that pertains to Conditional Use Permits. The nature of these permits is that certain uses will be allowed with such s/2edfic cond/tzms with regard to the development or operation of the proposed use as it (the City Council) considers necessary to satisfy the standards set forth in Section 30-654 and the requirements contained within and to promote compatibility with and mLnimize any potentially adverse effects upon adjacent properties, the neighborhood or the City. Section 30-655 also refers to specific issues pertaining to fencing, screening, landscaping, required yards and other open spaces. The conditions that were recommended in the staff report dated June 24, 2003 reflected the above sections of the ordinance. If you have any question, please feel free to contact me.
