SItE'. <br />.Features of this plan ~~~ould include research center, commercial building, archery range, <br />amphitheater, picnic area, lookout pavilions, sledding hill and hiking trailsfcross-country <br />trails. <br />This plan ~~zould utilize the existing access road to the Research Center and two access <br />roads from 22I S1 Avenue. Internal roadway circulation would have a "parkway" character <br />1~~ith two lanes and on-street parking. The Research Center could also include a visitor <br />center for year round use. Archery range would be designed around the existing trees just <br />north of the Research Center. It is hoped that the future commercial building, to be <br />located at the Commercial Asphalt Co. and Plant site, would support arecreational-type <br />business that «Tould utilize the outdoor areas as its product testing ground. The active <br />product testing ground would have biking trail, rollerblading, skateboarding and putting <br />areas and the passive product testing ground would have hiking, archery, camping gear, <br />rock climbing and cross-country skiing areas. These areas would be used for users to test <br />the products before purchasing. Plazas and other amenities could be developed to attract <br />patrons. Along the parkway, a bitununous trail would be developed to connect the <br />Research Center, the commercial area and the picnic grounds. <br />A gravel looping trail would be constructed at the finish elevation with lookout pavilions <br />to capture views from the site. Retention ponds could be designed and integrated with the <br />,, surrounding environment and could also function as site amenity. Native plants and <br />«=ildflowers would be planted at all exposed areas. <br />5. Zone A: Restoration <br />~ 2. Zone B: Restoration/Enhancement <br />3. Zone C: Passive Recreation and Enhancement <br />4. Zone D: Reforested <br />Zane A: Restoration <br />This area would be planted with native grasses anal shrubs that encourage wildlife and <br />protect against erosion.
