ORDINANCE 10 - 14 <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />ZONING MAP TO REZONE <br />CERTAIN PROPERTIES <br />FROM I1 <br />(LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) AND <br />I2 (MEDIUM INDUSTRIAL) <br />TO 1 -3 <br />(GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) <br />CASE NO. ZC 10 -07 <br />The City Council of the City of <br />Elk River does hereby ordain as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. The duly adopted <br />Zoning Map of the City of Elk <br />River is hereby amended to <br />rezone to I.3 (General Indus- <br />trial) the properties described <br />as: <br />See Attached Exhibit A <br />Section 2. The rezoning is <br />being approved based on the <br />following findings: , <br />1. THE PROPOSED REZON- <br />ING IS COMPATIBLE WITH <br />THE SURROUNDING LAND <br />USES. <br />2. THE PROPOSED REZON- <br />ING IS NECESSARY IN <br />ORDER TO PRESERVE THE <br />CITY'S LIMITED INDUSTRI- <br />ALLY- .ZONED PROPERTY <br />FOR USES REQUIRING <br />INFRASTRUCTURE THAT IS <br />EITHER IN PLACE, READILY <br />AVAILABLE, OR ANTICI- <br />PATED. LESS INTENSIVE <br />USES WOULD BE REL- <br />EGATED TO SPECIFIC <br />AREAS OF THE COMMU- <br />NITY WITHOUT INFRA- <br />STRUCTURE. <br />3.
