ORDINANCE 10 - 14 CITY OF ELK RIVER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF ELK RIVER ZONING MAP TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTIES FROM I1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) AND I2 (MEDIUM INDUSTRIAL) TO 1 -3 (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) CASE NO. ZC 10 -07 The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. The duly adopted Zoning Map of the City of Elk River is hereby amended to rezone to I.3 (General Indus- trial) the properties described as: See Attached Exhibit A Section 2. The rezoning is being approved based on the following findings: , 1. THE PROPOSED REZON- ING IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE SURROUNDING LAND USES. 2. THE PROPOSED REZON- ING IS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO PRESERVE THE CITY'S LIMITED INDUSTRI- ALLY- .ZONED PROPERTY FOR USES REQUIRING INFRASTRUCTURE THAT IS EITHER IN PLACE, READILY AVAILABLE, OR ANTICI- PATED. LESS INTENSIVE USES WOULD BE REL- EGATED TO SPECIFIC AREAS OF THE COMMU- NITY WITHOUT INFRA- STRUCTURE. 3. THE REZONING IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH'THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY. .Section3. That this Ordi- nance shall take effect and be in full force from and -after the date of its publication.
