PAver <br /> <br />13065 0r0n0 Parkway <br />ElkRiver, MN 55330 <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />UNITED WE STAND DAY <br />SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2001 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States was suddenly and brutally attacked by terrorists on <br /> September 11, 2001, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, New York City sustained enormous loss in lives and property in the attack, <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the people of the United States have a responsibility to support New York <br /> City and its residents as they work to rebuild their lives and their city, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Elk River desire to assist in supporting New York <br /> City and its residents in their rebuilding efforts, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the service groups of the City of Elk River are, for the first time in the city's <br />history, uniting their efforts in an event to benefit the citizens of New York <br />City, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this event will be a pancake breakfast on Sunday, October 28, 2001, from <br /> 8:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Elk River Area High School cafeteria, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all the proceeds of this event will go to the Red Cross New York Relief <br /> Fund, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council joins the service groups of the city in encouraging <br /> all citizens to attend this event. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, Mayor Stephanie A.
