Information <br />fiver <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Tina Allard, City Clerk <br />DATE: July 12, 2010 <br />SUBJECT: Sherburne County Fair Parade Information <br />The Sherburne County Fair parade is scheduled Friday, July 16. Arrive by 6:00 p.m. for setup <br />on the fire truck. Candy will be available to distribute to the public. <br />A map of where float units will be lining up is attached. As of today, we haven't gotten any <br />information on our unit number and where the truck is supposed to line up. I'll send an <br />email when I get further information. <br />-------------------------------------------------------------- <br />IMPORTANT PARTICIPANT INFORMATION (FROM FAIR WEBSITE) <br />Float line-up begins at 5:30 p.m. along Main Street, with the parade stepping off at 6:30 p.m. <br />For ease of traffic flow, please enter the parade line-up from the east (the side closer to <br />Historic downtown Elk River). All parade units will be facing the west; the second half of <br />the units will be lined up on the wrong side of the road. <br />Please avoid having cars drop off parade participants on Main Street. Plan for your group to <br />meet/drop off on side streets along the parade line-up area. We only want the vehicles that <br />will be pulling floats/part of the parade to enter the line-up area. <br />The parade ends behind the fairgrounds at the intersection of Orono Parkway and Joplin <br />Avenue. Please plan to meet your group somewhere like the fairgrounds parking lot, near <br />the east Main Entrance gate.
