OET O2 20~1

Item~ 4.2.

October 1, 2001

Stephanie Klinzing
Mayor of Elk River
13065 Orono Parkway NW
Elk River, MN 55330

RE: Boys & Girls Club:

Dear Mayor Klinzing;

The Boys & Girls Club of Elk River has an opportunity to have
an 10 X 12 storage shed be built through a joint program with the
Alternative Learning Center from Elk River.
The ALC is working with Habitat for Humanity this year to
construct a home and as part of their training program they are willing,
under professional supervision, to construct this shed for the Club. We
have a donation of $600 worth of lumber from Home Depot.
Since you have visited the Club on many occasions I sure you
have noticed that one of our biggest shortcomings is lack of storage
space. This shed would allow us to store program equipment and thus
rotate larger programs so that the maximum effect can be realized from
each of them.
Since our lease agreement is for the blue print of the building
only and for the combined use of the parking lot, we would request that
we be allowed to place this moveable shed on the extreme south east
comer of the parking area where, because of space needed to pull in and
out, no cars can park anyway.
Because there is already a use agreement in effect and because
this is a moveable structure, we felt this might be the easiest way to
obtain permission.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do
not hesitate to contact me, and I thank you in advance for your time and
consideration of this matter.

Respectfully Submitted/,-~
Executive Director

EIOYS t$~ GIRLS CLUB
OF ELK RIVER

E.R.
