CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />LOCAL BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION <br />RECONVENE <br />MAY 17, 2010 <br />Parcel No. 75-111-2100 <br />Fee Owner: Paul Heinen and April Westgaard <br />Address: 21850 Brook Road NW, Elk River, MN 55330 <br />Acreage: 40.00 <br />The property owners appeared at the City of Elk River Local Board of Appeal and Equalization on <br />Apri128, 2010, shown as No. l 5 in LBAE minutes, to discuss their value and classification. The <br />appraiser stated the Agricultural Classification was removed as it did not appear there were 10 <br />contiguous acres being used to produce an agricultural product for sale. Mr. Heinen indicated he <br />had a verbal agreement with a neighbor to cut hay. The appraiser stated she would need to see any <br />documentation to support the agricultural use of the property, such as a lease/rental agreement with <br />a farmer and. a Schedule F. <br />On May 13, 2010, the appraiser called Mr. Heinen regarding the documentation and stated that she <br />would like time to review ±he information prior to ±he reconvening of the meeting. Mr. Heinen <br />stated that he would call her on Friday, May 14, 2010. <br />The appraiser has yet to receive any documentation from the property owners to verify agricultural <br />production on the above parcel. <br />It is therefore the Agricultural Appraiser's recommendation that no change be made to the <br />current classifications of Residential and Rural Vacant Land for the 2010 Assessment. <br />
